Kenneth Johanson is Ranger 7 and conductor of the Train Force Rangers.He is eccentric and enigmatic, possessing knowledge of the Train Force Rangers' past, which he guards from the group.

Rail Defender Mode is Ranger 7's power-up which he can access by putting the SuperCharger, that comes with the Super Blaster, into the Rail Morpher.

- With the inclusion of Kenneth as Ranger 7, the Train Force Rangers now make up all the colors of the rainbow, Ava most likely being pink to avoid having two Blue Rangers on the team.
- Ranger 7's helmet, like all the 'Returns' Rangers, is a repaint, this time of Ranger 6's. The Conductor's Appli Morpher and Purple RailCharger are presented as violet recolors of Jason's orange Appli Morpher and Build Zord. It is unknown what sort of Zord mecha the Purple RailCharger may transform into. It should be noted that the Ranger 6 arsenal is a prototype originally assigned to the Conductor.
- Kenneth is the first named Seventh Ranger. Whereas other Rangers were the seventh ranger to appear or they have indications to imply they are the seventh, none have been explicitly been named a Seventh Ranger like Ranger 7.
