- Surprisingly enough, his helmet bears a strong similar resemblance to that of Rock Bison from Tiger & Bunny.
- Champ being a creation of Jark Armage is similar to how Power Riders are creations of the antagonists that they fight.
- The appearance of Champ is based on the Greek monster, Minotaur.
